Welcome to Glenn Wood Hills

Nestled in the hills just a few miles from the beautiful Ohio River, Glenn Wood Hills Camp and Retreat Center offers a great place for your group's next overnight stay, weekend retreat, or week-long summer camp. With some of the most affordable rates in the area, Glenn Wood Hills, owned and operated by the Kentucky-Indiana Mission Center of the Community of Christ, offers both air-conditioned cabins and a year-round dormitory.

The adjacent dining hall and kitchen can easily accomodate up to 100 guests. While groups can arrange their own meals, our camp cook is also available to plan and prepare your meals on your schedule.

During the warmer months, the camp's RV park with adjacent bath house is available. There is also an open-air pavilion that seats up to 150, a small lake and beach for swimming, with a lake-side shelter, and lots of open space for your groups activities.

The Houston Glenn Building is available year-round, with a medium sized meeting room for 40, which can be divided into two smaller rooms.

We are now booking weddings, camps, retreats, family reunions, and special events in a Christian atmosphere. Let us help you make your event spectacular at Glenn Wood Hills!

We ask that all guests be free from the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs while at Glenn Wood Hills. By special arrangement, smoking may be permitted outside of buildings in designate areas only.

Camp Cook Needed for Summer

The position begins June 1 and runs for approximately seven week. If you would like more information about the position, or know someone who might be interested, please contact Mike Hoffman, mhoffman@CofChrist.org.

"Glenn Wood Hills" by Wilburn Wade

When the sun in the morning peeps through the leaves
And I hear the song of the birds in the trees
My senses come to me to open my eyes
And I feel the joy of nature's great prize

There's a sandy-bottom pond at the place where we swim
And the lake that we stocked for the fishermans' whim
There's a few old cabins and fields full of grass
A good place to play for a lad and a lass

Chorus:
The campfire is fun time when we do our parts
Just to wake up in the morning with songs in our hearts
With the kindness of good friends there's peace and goodwill
You're as welcome as the springtime, up at Glenn Wood Hills.

Concern for our welfare is never too much
For all problems are handled with the staff's gentle touch
All systems are ready to share this day's thrills
Makes it home, sweet home, up at Glenn Wood Hills.

There's a quiet little grove that's a good place for prayer
And the calmness of nature will always be there
Evening comes slowly as we reminisce
Of the joys and the fullness of this day's events.

Repeat Chorus.
